ICM 1:24 Benz Patent-Motorwagen 1886 with Mrs. Benz and sons is a plastic kit of the first production automobile in the world, complemented by figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM captures the Benz Patent-Motorwagen of 1886, the car regarded as the first production automobile powered by an internal combustion engine. The package also contains figures of Bertha Benz and her sons. Plastic parts, photo-etched metal parts and a jig for assembling the wire wheels are included.
Carl Benz built the Patent-Motorwagen as a three-wheeled car with a single-cylinder internal combustion engine. In August 1888 his wife Bertha and her sons made the first long-distance journey by automobile, about 104 km, thereby proving the usefulness of the invention in practice and helping to publicize it. Today the car is a symbol of the beginning of motoring.
Assemble the wire wheels with the enclosed jig, which ensures the correct geometry. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Set the wooden and metal surfaces apart with color and a fine wash, and the figures will complete the period scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
