The set of pierced concrete blocks, version 15 in 1:35 scale holds 40 pieces according to the name and serves as a building element of a diorama, not as a model in its own right.

This is a diorama accessory from the brand GINGER CAT in 1:35 scale. The name gives 40 pieces of pierced concrete blocks, known as breeze blocks. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a model in its own right, but a building element of a scene out of which low walls, fences, terrace parapets or the ventilating walls of buildings are put together. The version number tells this set apart from the other variants of the range; compare the actual pattern against the illustrations in the manufacturer's catalog.
Breeze blocks are a typical element of building in the Mediterranean, in the Middle East and in Southeast Asia, but you will meet them in European postwar architecture too. In a diorama they work well as a division between a street and a yard, as the fencing of a post, or as an addition to a facade which breaks up a uniform area. Because the individual pieces are separate, you can build a wall of any length out of them, and a damaged low wall with holes broken out of it.
What looks best is a gray base rounded out with a fine lightening of the edges and a darker emphasis of the recesses, which draws out the texture of the pierced pattern. Concrete out of doors soils quickly, so it pays to add maps of damp, dust at the foot of the low wall and a hint of algae in the shaded places. Before you set the blocks, level the ground true; with openings in the wall, every slope shows a great deal.
