1:35 Concrete Breeze Blocks Version 6 (40pcs) is a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale from the brand GINGER CAT. It holds concrete blocks, that is a building element for making surroundings on a model base. It is neither a model of equipment nor a figure. The name gives forty pieces, which allows a rounded stretch of wall to be built and work with ruins as well.
A damaged wall is among the strongest elements of a military diorama, because it says at once what has happened in the scene. Masonry laid up out of individual blocks has the advantage that you do not have to pretend the destruction: you simply break the wall off at a certain height, leave the edge ragged and strew the fallen pieces beneath it. Rubble at the foot of the wall then fills the scene out and gives the figures a reason why they are moving through exactly this spot. You can sink some of the blocks into the ground so that they look to have settled into mud.
Ruins look good when they come in three sizes: whole blocks, parts of them and fine grit. Make the grit up from modeling gravel or sand and match it in color to the masonry. Leave the damaged edges irregular and paint the inner break a shade lighter, because a fresh break is not as weathered as the surface. Settle the dust above all horizontally, on the upper surfaces. Set the wall into the ground before you finish it in color, otherwise the transition between masonry and earth will always show.
