An injection-molded plastic kit of the American three-axle truck Studebaker US6-U3 in 1:35 scale from the ICM company. The kit offers a faithfully shaped chassis, cab and cargo bed and decals for several marking variants of the American army. The U3 form represents the version with a fixed cargo body.
The Studebaker US6 was a three-axle truck produced from 1941, of which around two hundred thousand examples were built in many modifications. A Hercules six-cylinder engine gave it good cross-country qualities and the truck became one of the most widespread supply trucks of the Second World War, widely delivered to the Allies as aid.
We recommend assembling the frame with the engine and the axles before the cab and the body are fitted, gluing the joints with a liquid cement for plastic and unifying the surface with a primer. The olive base comes out well once washes have been run into the gaps and dust pigments applied to the chassis and the fenders; an airbrush makes shading the large surfaces easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
