Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of a vehicle but a diorama accessory in injection-molded plastic. The set represents a field toilet, that is a wooden hut of the kind that belonged to camps, field positions and country holdings alike. In 1:35 scale it is a rewarding element of a scene, because it reads instantly, gives the diorama scale and can turn a plain base into a story. The manufacturer is the Ukrainian company ICM. Check the number of parts, the dimensions and the presence of any other equipment with the manufacturer before buying.
A field latrine was a simple wooden structure put together from boards, often with a sloping roof and a plain door. It was found at field camps, workshops and farms across Europe throughout the twentieth century, so it can be used in a diorama from various periods and various armies as well as in a civilian scene. It is precisely such everyday objects that give a military diorama a lived-in quality and draw attention away from a bare base.
Glue the boards and walls with a thin cement for plastic applied into the joint by capillary action, and degrease the parts beforehand. Before painting it pays to suggest the grain of the wood by scratching lightly with the tip of a scalpel or with a wire brush. Lay a light base color down, then apply thin glazes and oil paints along the grain, which gives the natural shades of weathering wood. A panel liner brings out the gaps between the boards, and a dry brush picks out the edges. Darken the lower part and the surroundings with pigment so that the structure grows visually into the terrain.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
