ICM 1:700 SMS Markgraf (full hull and waterline) is a plastic kit of the German battleship of the First World War with a choice of hull form.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:700 scale from ICM. The model captures the German battleship Markgraf of the First World War period and offers two build variants: the full hull or the waterline form with the hull cut at the waterline. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Markgraf was a battleship of the König class of the Imperial German Navy and took part in the fighting of the First World War, including the great naval Battle of Jutland. She was marked by heavy armor and main artillery in turrets. After the war, as part of the interned German fleet, she was scuttled by her own crews.
A ship in this small scale rewards careful cleaning up of the parts and gluing with liquid cement for plastic. Consider the waterline variant for mounting on a sea base, or the full hull on a stand. Fine features such as railings and rigging can be added with photo-etched parts and stretched thread. Use an airbrush for painting, and shade the surfaces with a wash and drybrushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
