It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket detail set. It combines a finely cast resin interior of the two-seat cockpit (the tub with its side walls, the instrument panels, Martin-Baker ejection seats with cast belts) with photo-etched parts and replaces the simplified cockpit of the base kit with a richly detailed rendering. The set is intended for models of the McDonnell Douglas F-4E/F Phantom II fighter in 1:72 scale.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was one of the most significant jet fighters of its era. A two-seat, twin-engine and extraordinarily versatile machine, it served in the role of fighter, fighter-bomber and reconnaissance aircraft with many air forces around the world. The F-4E version brought a built-in cannon and an upgraded radar, and the F-4F version was intended for the Luftwaffe.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks; bend the photo-etched parts exactly along the engraving. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the interior and bring it out with a wash before the fuselage is closed up; we recommend adding the small cockpit parts only after painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and serves to improve a base kit, which it does not contain.
