A model of the German high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft Junkers Ju 388 L-1 in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer MikroMir (Ukraine). A limited edition kit from a short-run mold. A kit to be glued and painted.
The Ju 388 was a German high-altitude aircraft from the end of the Second World War, developed on from the Ju 188 family. The L-1 version was the reconnaissance one, with a pressurized cabin for photographic reconnaissance at great altitudes and with Junkers Jumo 213 engines; only a few were completed before the end of the war. A surviving example is in the collection of the American National Air and Space Museum.
It is worth building the model in subassemblies and testing the fit of the parts dry before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and, if you wish, pick them out with a wash before closing the fuselage. For the best result use a good thin cement for plastic, fine files and, after the primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
