A Hataka modeling paint in the Soviet aircraft shade AMT-4, the camouflage green of the upper surfaces of Second World War aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
AMT-4 is a Soviet aircraft shade of the Second World War, a camouflage green intended for the upper surfaces of aircraft. It was used in combination with other shades of the same range, with which it formed a mottled camouflage seen from above; the undersurfaces, by contrast, carried a light blue. The paint was flat and in service it moved quickly toward a lighter and grayer tone through fading and wear, so on a machine from a frontline unit it looks different than on a freshly delivered aircraft. Anyone building Soviet fighters and ground attack aircraft of that time will find it hard to do without AMT-4.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, so that settled pigment is stirred back in evenly. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer instructions on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this line. Spray it in several thin coats and let the surface dry between them; one heavy coat floods the fine relief and dries more slowly. On camouflaged upper surfaces it is worth laying a lighter base down first and building the color up gradually, so that room is left for fading and wear.
The paint suits modelers of Soviet aviation of the Second World War, whether they build a fighter, a ground attack aircraft or a bomber. It is not tied to one scale or to one kit, because it is a standalone paint.
The paint alone is supplied. The thinner, brushes and a kit are not included, unless stated otherwise.
