Small imitations of a bolt with an internal hex in the 0.5 mm size, this time with no washer under the head. The part is therefore narrower and makes do with a small area around the hole.
On the subject a washer tends to be there only where there is room for it and where the joint needs it. On engine covers, caps, small brackets and joints sunk into a recess the thread goes in without one, so a part with a ring around the head would look heavier there than the reality. Decide, therefore, from a photograph of the machine, not from which part you happen to have at hand.
Drill a shallow recess at the spot to fix the position of the part; drill square and rather shallow, as a deep hole would swallow the head. Without a washer the mating surface is small, so level it beforehand and clear it of any remaining paint, otherwise the part will not hold level. Meter the cyanoacrylate glue with the tip of a wire into the recess, not onto the part. Work with fine-tipped tweezers over a light surface with a rim; a half-millimeter part is hunted in vain once it falls on the floor.
The parts are easier to paint before installing, for instance stuck to double-sided tape. Apply the paint in thin coats so that the recess in the head stays noticeable, and if need be bring the finished joint out with a dark coat that can be wiped off. The model, paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
