Cobra Motor Selenit Grau is a light gray shade from the Cobra Motor automotive line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez for painting the bodies of car models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A lighter representative of the gray tones in the Cobra Motor line, which AMMO of Mig Jimenez put together for builders of car models. The German name places the shade among the factory paints of European passenger cars. For a modeler it is a ready tone with no mixing ratio to look for.
Light gray changes with the light
The lighter the gray, the more the impression it gives shifts with the lighting. In a display case with warm light it looks toward beige, in daylight cooler, and in a photograph with a flash flatter again. It therefore pays to judge a model in exactly the light in which it will finally stand, and to use the same light for a test sample.
Light gray needs an even surface underneath: on dark plastic the first coats show through and the area breaks up into blotches. Work in thin covering coats and rather add one more than try it with a single heavy pass. Deal with the final gloss or flat finish with a closing coat of varnish, not with the paint itself.
For car modelers who build production vehicles in factory finish and for collectors of display models. The thinning and the chemistry are in the manufacturer's directions on the packaging.
When spraying, make sure of good ventilation and protect your airways. Keep out of the reach of children.
