A modeling paint from the Real Colors range by AK with the manufacturer's part number RC074. It is listed as a dark brown with the addition 6K. Dark browns are among the most used shades of the modeling palette: on their own they form the patches of a camouflage, and at the same time they serve as the tone that pulls the other colors down to earth and takes the newness off them.
It comes into play as the brown part of a multi-color camouflage on vehicles and aircraft, and further on wooden crates, tool handles and tarpaulins, on the leather straps of figures and on the lower reaches of the running gear, where deposits build up. Thinned into a light glaze it serves to darken corners and seams, where a plain color would look far too even.
Shake the bottle properly, as dark pigments settle at the bottom faster than light ones. The paint is made above all for an airbrush; with a brush lay it on in thin strokes. Thin it with the thinner meant for this range; for soft camouflage edges thin the paint a little more, lower the pressure and hold the nozzle closer to the surface. Let the coats flash off between each other. A primer belongs on a smooth surface, a gloss clear coat under decals, and at the end a matte clear coat that pulls the surface together.
For modelers of military vehicles and of figures who need a dark brown for camouflage, for wood and straps or for darkening deeper places. Thinner, primer, clear coats and other paints are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
