Heki static grass in the shade of a mown hayfield, fibers 2 to 3 millimeters, 50 grams in the package. For low and dry growth.
Responsibility details are not available.
Static grass consists of short fibers which stand up on end in glue, so that growth reads as growing rather than as sprinkled on. This shade aims at a mown hayfield, that is at an area after harvest where stubble and the remains of dried grass are left. The package weighs 50 grams, so on an ordinary diorama it will last a long time even with generous application.
A short fiber is still quite tall grass in scale. In H0 scale 2 to 3 millimeters corresponds to roughly 17 to 26 centimeters of real grass, in 1:35 scale to roughly 7 to 10 centimeters. It therefore suits mown meadows, trodden areas by roads, yards and the edges of fields, not wild growth in a ditch. In the larger scales it is grass shortly after cutting or a lawn around a building.
Coat the area with glue and apply the fibers to it from an electrostatic applicator, which charges them so that they stand up square and dry upright in the glue. Hold the mesh several centimeters above the area and work in smaller sections. Once dry, sweep the excess away with a soft brush and use it again. A dry shade comes into its own when you do not sprinkle it evenly everywhere: let areas thin out, add islands of greener grass and, in places where people have walked, press the fibers down to the ground.
The package holds 50 grams of fibers 2 to 3 millimeters long. The glue, a static grass applicator and surface material are not included, unless stated otherwise.
