A pair of construction boards of the Dur line from the Heki company, each measuring 28 x 14 cm, for N and Z scales.
Responsibility details are not available.
Construction boards of the Dur line serve for facing areas on a layout and in a diorama. They replace lengthy handwork where a regular surface texture would otherwise have to be imitated piece by piece, and they suit everywhere a flat area is to be replaced with a broken-up surface. This package is issued for the small scales, that is for scenes where a great deal of action has to fit into a small area.
The package holds two pieces, each measuring 28 x 14 cm. The boards are intended for N and Z scales, that is for the ratios 1:160 and 1:220. In N scale the longer side corresponds to roughly 45 meters of real length, in Z scale to more than 60 meters, so even a pair of boards will cover a considerable area on a small layout.
Which surface this board carries is worth checking in the manufacturer's description before buying. The work itself is then the same with all the boards of this line: lay the area out dry, run the joint of the two pieces where another element of the scene will cover it, and fix them in place according to the manufacturer's instructions. When painting, first lay a darker base, which will stay settled in the joints, and then draw the surface out in a lighter tone with a dry brush. In a small scale choose the contrast carefully, because strong accenting coarsens the texture.
The boards are for builders of layouts and dioramas in N and Z scale. The paints, the glue and other building material are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
