What the set is for

A barrier along a road determines where a scene leads a viewer's eye. It bounds the edge of a road above a slope, separates a parking area from the carriageway and at a checkpoint it explains why a column has stopped. Six pieces make it possible to build a continuous stretch or to divide them among several places in a scene.

What the set contains

The package consists of six road barriers made from resin by 3D printing. The print holds the thin sections and posts that are at the limit of what can be made in 1:72 scale. The individual pieces are the same, so they can be lined up one after another into a longer line and the transition between them stays inconspicuous.

Building and painting tips

• Cut the remains of the print supports off with a scalpel and smooth the area with a fine file.
• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the residue of print resin disappears.
• Resin is brittle, so do not bend or load the thin parts.
• They are glued with super glue, as cement for polystyrene does not work here.
• Sink the barrier into the terrain, so that the post does not stand merely laid on the surface.
• Scuffed paint, rust at the foot of the post and a deposit of dust from the road will do a scene good.
