A plastic kit in 1:24 scale of the rally coupe Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.6 HF, known by the nickname Fanalone.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lancia Fulvia was an Italian coupe of the late 1960s with front-wheel drive and a narrow-angle V4 engine mounted at the front. The 1.6 HF version was its competition peak: lighter, more sharply tuned and built for special stages. It was with this one that the brand won the Monte Carlo Rally at the beginning of the 1970s, which made the Fulvia one of the cars by which a whole era of rallying is recognized.
The nickname caught on because of the front grille. On this version the inner pair of headlights is strikingly larger than on the ordinary renderings, and from a distance the car looks as if it were watching with two big eyes. For the build that means the front grille is the most watched place on the whole model, so it is worth taking care over it when gluing as well as when polishing.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Separate the parts carefully, sand the traces of production and wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. On a car with a smooth body it is the base that decides: an unevenness you would overlook on a military vehicle shows up in gloss paint. So apply several thin coats rather than one and let them dry properly. Paint the body before you fit the interior into it; repairing paint around parts that are already glued in is needless work. Leave the glazing and the front grille for the end, so that you do not scratch them while you work.
A kit is what is sold. Paints, glue, putty and tools do not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
