The interior of the Bf 109 G in 1:32 scale

A set of color 3D elements from Kelik for the pilot space of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-2 and G-4 versions, in 1:32 scale. The elements are cut for the Revell kit and cover the instrument panel, the side panels and the small equipment of the cockpit. The interior of the two versions is close, so one set handles them together.

What it brings to the model

The cockpit of the Bf 109 is tight and clearly laid out, so every detail stands out in it: the frame of the windscreen, the side control panel and the panel with the dials. In the large 1:32 scale the canopy slid back opens up almost the whole space, and hand-painted instruments look flat there. The color elements carry legible gauges and lettering, and the raised relief moreover casts a shadow in side light and gives the panel depth.

Before applying them and while working

• The way they are applied differs from one range to another, so follow the instructions from the maker Kelik.
• Spray the cockpit parts first, let them cure and degrease them, otherwise the edge of an element will lift away in time.
• Apply the elements while the cockpit is freely accessible, that is before the fuselage is closed.
• Work with tweezers with a soft grip and press them down with a cotton bud from the center toward the edges.
• The assignment of the elements to the parts of the kit is given in the maker's instructions.
