This item is not an airplane model but a 3D printed resin detail set from Reskit: a precisely rendered engine exhaust nozzle for the plastic F-35 Lightning II kit in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. The set is common to the F-35A (land-based, air force) and F-35C (carrier-based, navy) variants, which share the same nozzle design. The nozzle is among the most closely watched places on the model - the layered petals and the inner structure that the 3D print captures push the realism of the finished aircraft well beyond the level of the part from the kit.
It replaces the simplified nozzle from the original kit. The basic F-35 model from Trumpeter has to be obtained separately - this item contains the exhaust nozzle only.
Separate the parts from the print supports carefully, wash them in warm water with detergent and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate. The metallic and burnt shades of the nozzle come out well with metallic paint techniques and a fine wash into the recesses.
This is an accessory for a model - the package contains neither the aircraft kit nor glue nor paints.
