A blue shade of the water-thinnable Aqueous Gundam Color line for the machine with the designation Aerial Rebuild. A semi-gloss finish, manufacturer code XHUG13.
Responsibility details are not available.
The shade belongs to the Gundam Color line, that is among the paints mixed directly according to the color schemes of robot machines. This one is blue and carries the designation Aerial Rebuild, which in the name sets the rebuilt form of the machine apart from the original one. A builder therefore reaches for the bottle that matches exactly the variant he has on the bench.
The degree of sheen is stated directly in the name and lies between flat and gloss. On robot models this has a practical reason: armor parts have large flat areas on which a high gloss reveals every irregularity, while a pure flat finish flattens them and robs them of the impression of a hard surface. Semi-gloss holds between the two, and on top of that it takes the picking out of the engraving with a filler, because the excess can be wiped off it without leaving a smeared shadow behind.
Stir the paint thoroughly and apply it in thin coats; only the second or third coat gives full depth without the loss of sharp edges. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the label. It pays to keep a little paint back for repairs, because edges are easily scuffed while the parts are being assembled. If you finally varnish the model with a clear coat, count on the resulting degree of sheen being set by that varnish, not by the semi-gloss underneath it.
For builders of robot models who want a shade matching the real subject without mixing, and also for modelers who find a semi-gloss blue useful in their palette. The thinner, brushes and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
