The set contains a pair of resin models of the GBU-12 laser-guided bomb of the Paveway II family in the version with a thermal protection layer. It is not an aircraft kit but additional ordnance that you hang under the wings or the fuselage of a model of a modern combat aircraft.
The GBU-12 is an American laser-guided bomb built on the basis of a conventional aircraft bomb of roughly 500 pounds, completed with a guidance head and a tail kit with fins. The thermally protected version has an insulating layer on the casing that reduces the risk during carriage and handling. The weapon has long been widespread with Western air forces on a range of fighter and attack types.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up. Glue the guidance and tail sections with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Pay attention to the correct orientation on the pylon and to keeping the period-appropriate colors and stencils.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
