A Real Colors modeling paint in the late German camouflage shade RLM 81, variant version 2. A bottle of 17 ml, code RC949.
Responsibility details are not available.
RLM 81 is a late German camouflage shade, a dark tone on the border between brown, violet and green. Surviving samples differ noticeably from one another and the sources do not agree on its exact form, which is why the Real Colors range offers several variants and leaves the choice to the modeler. This bottle carries version 2, and its name states explicitly that this tone used to appear under the incorrect designation RLM 83.
Version 3 of the same shade is carried by the same range under the code RC950. The difference between the variants is in the tone, not in the use, so decide by the illustration in the kit instructions and by what your references state for that machine. Do not mix the variants within one model, however: two close yet unequal tones side by side look like an error in spraying.
Stir the bottle properly before use, as settled pigment otherwise changes both the tone and the coverage. Wash and degrease the surface and apply the paint in thin coats; dark shades cover readily and a heavy coat would only flood the engraved lines. Late German schemes rest on soft transitions between colors, so spray with thinned paint at low pressure from close up. Put masks and masking tape on before spraying and pull them off only once the paint has dried.
The package holds one bottle of 17 ml. The thinner, primer, clear coats and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise. Choose the thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools according to the manufacturer data.
