This set from Omask is a masking set in 1:32 scale for a model of the British Hawker Hurricane fighter in the Mk.IIb and Mk.IIc versions. The O-max designation means the extended variant: besides self-adhesive painting masks for the canopy glazing and the clear parts, it also contains foam (EVA) plugs for the landing gear and wheel bays, which protect them from a deposit of paint during spraying. The masks make it possible to spray the canopy frames cleanly and accurately without picking them out by brush. It is neither a paint nor a kit but an aid for painting the model; according to the name, the set is cut for the Revell kit.

The real subject

The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that, together with the Spitfire, carried the main weight of the Battle of Britain. The Mk.IIb and Mk.IIc versions brought heavier armament, the Mk.IIb with twelve machine guns and the Mk.IIc with four 20 mm cannon, and they were also used in the fighter-bomber role.

Use

• Apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing and press them against the frames
• Spray the color of the frames and take the masks off carefully once dry
• Put the foam plugs into the bays before spraying and take them out afterwards
