1:32 Mk.84 with BSU-36/B bombs (2 pcs) brings two cast replicas of the heavy Mk.84 aircraft bomb with the BSU-36/B tail unit in the size 1:32.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two castings of the largest of the American Mk 80 series of aircraft bombs, completed by a tail unit designated BSU-36/B. The size matches models in 1:32, where a simplified plastic part is obvious at first glance.
The Mk.84 is the heaviest member of the family of low-drag bombs that came about in the 1950s and serve to this day. It weighs roughly nine hundred kilograms and forms the basis on which the later guided kits with laser or satellite guidance also stand. It was carried aloft by machines from the F-111 through the F-15E and F-16 to carrier aircraft, and that is exactly why you meet it so often on models. The tail unit decides how the bomb behaves after release and tends to be the most conspicuous mark by which individual configurations are told apart.
The bomb is heavy, so glue it to the pylon through a drilled hole with a wire pin; the contact surface alone will not hold the joint. The mold parting line runs around the circumference of the body and is easily overlooked until the primer arrives. Compare the arrangement of the stores with period photographs, because the number of bombs on one rack differs between types of aircraft.
This item is an accessory for the build, and the machine itself is not contained in it.
