Wooden wheels in 1:35 scale as an accessory for dioramas and display scenes, in the version designated as version 1.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wooden wheel with spokes and an iron tire is one of those elements that give a scene a setting and a period. In a military as well as a civilian diorama it comes into its own with carts and farm implements, leaning against a barn wall or lying in the grass by a road. At the same time it serves as a point of reference for scale: from a familiar object the viewer immediately judges the size of the whole scene. The version 1 designation distinguishes the variant within the range; the dimensions and the exact make-up of the set are stated by the manufacturer.
The material of the parts and the recommended glue are stated by the manufacturer, so adapt your method to that. Cut off the excess material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the rest so that you do not round off the edges of the spokes. Try the seating surfaces dry and only then glue. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the finish will not hold on the surface.
Wood looks convincing when it is not painted in a single color: lay down a lighter base, darken it with a glaze and finally lift the edges with a dry brush so that the grain stands out. Treat the tire and the ironwork as metal, that is a dark base and a hint of rust where water would run down. A wheel that stands on a soft surface in the scene should be sunk slightly into the terrain; a wheel lying flat on a board looks as though it were floating. Apply mud and dust from the bottom upwards and let them fade out rather than covering the whole part with an even layer.
The base, a model, figures, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
