Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set for a model of the German Tiger I heavy tank. The set covers the name Kurt Knispel, the turret number 301 and the battlefield given as Russia, that is, the Eastern Front. It is an accessory for a finished, painted model, not a kit. The scale is 1:35 and the maker is WEIKERT DECALS.
The Tiger I, also designated Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E, was a heavy tank with an 8.8 cm gun and vertical armor of considerable thickness. Its characteristic features were the interleaved road wheels and two sets of tracks — wide combat tracks and narrower transport tracks for rail movement. Kurt Knispel was a German tank gunner and later a commander who served on the Eastern Front; his name appears in the modeling literature with particular vehicles, including the turret number 301. The brand also has the same subject with a different turret number as a separate item, so watch the number when choosing.
Turret numbers tend to have a bold outline that wrinkles easily on a curved turret. Seal the base with gloss clear and let it dry overnight. Trim the design close, soak it briefly in warm water and settle it with a soft brush. Apply the softener in two thin coats and do not move the film until then. Once dry, unify the surface with matte clear and tone the numbers down lightly with dust pigment.
