A set of twelve turned brass barrels of 127 mm caliber in 1:350 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the plastic barrels of the dual-purpose guns on models of US Navy ships.
The 127 mm gun, in the 5-inch form with a barrel length of 38 calibers, was the standard dual-purpose weapon of the US Navy in the Second World War. It served against surface and air targets alike and was carried by practically the whole range of American ships, from destroyers to battleships and aircraft carriers.
Turned barrels have a more faithful muzzle profile than plastic and take handling better. Cut the original barrels off, clean the openings up, degrease the brass and fit the barrels with super glue. It is advisable to prime the metal before painting.
This is a metal detail accessory. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
