A sheet of printed movie posters from Matho Models in the style of French poster art from the 1940s to the 1970s. A French street without pasted-up posters is unthinkable - movie houses, cinemas and billposting surfaces were part of the local color of towns from the occupation through the postwar decades. The miniature posters only need to be cut out and pasted into a scene in 1:35 scale, where they immediately establish both the place and the period of the action.
The set covers four decades, so it will serve in scenes from the fighting for France and Normandy in the 1940s as well as in postwar and retro subjects with French vehicles. Paste the posters onto facades, boundary walls, kiosks, posts and cinema fronts; a typical French motif is the round billposting column. Apply a thin layer of thinned PVA glue to the back and press the poster down with a soft cloth so that it settles into the texture of the plaster. Layering the pasted sheets, torn corners and gentle fading with a dry brush will give a billposting surface years of history; unify the whole with matte varnish. The French text on the posters gives a scene an authenticity that generic English motifs cannot offer.
This is a printed diorama accessory, not a model kit. The scissors, the glue and the varnish are not included in the package.
