USS Yorktown (CV-10) was an Essex-class aircraft carrier of the US Navy used in the Pacific war. The Essexes formed the backbone of the fast carrier task forces of the US Navy and carried dozens of aircraft. The Yorktown took part in a number of operations against Japanese forces in 1944 and became one of the best-known ships of her class.
Given its size, it is advisable to divide the build into the hull, the flight deck, the island superstructure and the aircraft. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Handle the flight deck and the camouflage scheme with an airbrush and masks; bring the panel lines and the detail out with a wash. The aircraft can be built with folded wings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
