A photo-etched super detail set in 1:350 for a model of the battleship Yamato from Flyhawk. An extensive set of fine metal parts that lifts a finished kit to collector level.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from Flyhawk is NOT a kit but an extensive detail accessory made for plastic models of the Japanese battleship Yamato in 1:350 scale. It holds a large number of fine photo-etched metal parts for faithfully finishing the whole ship.
The Yamato was the flagship of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War and, together with her sister Musashi, the largest battleship ever built. She was armed with nine guns of 460 mm caliber. She was sunk in April 1945.
Photo-etch replaces the elements that cannot be faithfully molded in plastic: railings, ladders, antennas, parts of cranes and catapults, gratings and the fine fittings of the decks. The parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent in a bender and glued with super glue. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it.
This is an accessory for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
