A5M4 vacuum-formed clear canopy 1:48 from Quinta Studio is a replacement clear cockpit canopy with high optical clarity for models of the A5M4 Claude fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a replacement clear part, not a complete model. The vacuum-formed cockpit canopy takes the place of the original clear part from the kit and offers thinner walls and better optical clarity. The set is conceived as universal and suits the plastic models of the Japanese A5M4 fighter available in this scale.
The A5M, reporting name Claude, was a Japanese carrier-borne fighter of the second half of the 1930s, one of the first all-metal monoplanes of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service and the direct predecessor of the later A6M Zero. An open cockpit is characteristic of the type.
A vacuum-formed part is intended for more experienced modelers: cut it out with a small margin, sand it carefully back to the outline and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or a glue for clear parts. The framing is easy to mask and spray, and the thin walls look more realistic than the thicker plastic original.
The set contains only the clear cockpit canopy. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
