Replacement F100-PW-220 engine exhaust nozzles in the closed position in 1:48, made ready for the F-15 kit from GWH.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15 is among the longest-serving fighters of Western manufacture. Besides the single-seat and two-seat versions A to D it also lived to see the two-seat Strike Eagle for attacks on ground targets and the Japanese licensed F-15J variant. Machines with F100-PW-220 engines have the characteristic division of movable petals behind the nozzles, which changes the area of the mouth. In the drawn-in position the mouth narrows and the lengthwise petals stand out on it most.
Replacement exhaust nozzles in the drawn-in position in 1:48, shaped for the F-15 kit from GWH. The set covers the F-15A, B, C, D, the early E and the J, that is machines with F100-PW-220 engines. In 1:48 the tail of the aircraft is an exposed place, because you can see inside the mouth of the nozzle and any step or seam there catches the eye.
The parts are not made of polystyrene and are glued with cyanoacrylate. Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part, sand the remainder down and try the seating surface dry. Wash and degrease before painting. Paint the inside of the nozzle before you seat it on the fuselage, because reaching in with a brush later is hard. Dose the cyanoacrylate drop by drop and away from visible surfaces, because its residue is hard to put right on a polished metallic shade. The exact assembly procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For builders of the F-15 in 1:48 who build from the GWH kit and want a tail without seams.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
