A cockpit set in the basic version for a model of the US Air Force F-16C Block 50/52 Fighting Falcon in 1:48 scale, cut for the Kinetic Gold kit. Colored 3D decals are included.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-16C Fighting Falcon is a single-seat multirole fighter, and the Block 50 and Block 52 series are among its later production versions in US Air Force service. The cockpit is a recognition feature of the F-16: the canopy without a frame above the pilot's head offers all-round vision, the control stick is on the right on a side console and the seat is noticeably reclined.
It is a cockpit set in the basic version for a model in 1:48 scale, cut for the Kinetic kit in the Gold version. Alongside the cockpit parts the box holds colored 3D decals, which add the instrument faces to the cockpit. The parts are not made of polystyrene and are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue. What exactly the box contains and where each part belongs is shown in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat. Try the cockpit dry before the fuselage is glued together; with complete tubs it is often necessary to thin the fuselage walls or to adjust the mounting. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and use cyanoacrylate glue drop by drop. Before applying the colored 3D elements, check in the instructions how they go on, and apply them only onto a finished and dry surface.
The set is for modelers who are building the F-16 in 1:48 scale and want a cockpit better worked out than the one the plastic kit offers. The box contains only this accessory; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
