Precise 3D-printed resin exhaust nozzles for the American F/A-18 Super Hornet carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The set replaces the plastic engine nozzles in the kit from Meng with a more faithful rendering. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory. This is the type 2 variant, that is, a different nozzle shape from the type 1 version.
The nozzles are very prominent on a model, and in plastic the fine petals and the inner texture are hard to cast. Printed resin allows crisper edges, thinner walls and a more convincing interior. Choose the type 2 version if it matches photographs of your particular aircraft; if the nozzles differ, reach for the type 1 variant.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, separate them carefully from the carriers and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply primer before painting, paint the nozzles in shades of steel and burnt metal and pick them out with pigments.
An accessory for the advanced; it is not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
