This is an accessory for detailing the cockpit, not a model. The relief color decal transfers a three-dimensional texture and faithful colors onto the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts, which are hard to achieve by hand. The set is tuned for the plastic FJ-3 Fury kit from the Zimi brand (formerly KittyHawk) in 1:48 scale and replaces both painting and photo-etched parts.
The North American FJ-3 Fury was a carrier-borne jet fighter of the US Navy from the 1950s, derived from the swept-wing Fury family related to the F-86 Sabre fighter. The machine served on aircraft carriers and performed interceptor as well as escort fighter duties. A faithful cockpit brings the model to life once the canopy is off.
The parts are cut out of the sheet, moistened and transferred onto the surfaces like a wet decal. The relief layer adapts to the shapes and once dry it can be fixed with a matte varnish. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
