This is not an aircraft kit but a 3D-printed resin detail accessory. The set holds exhaust nozzles for the American Grumman F-14A Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale, in both the fully open and the closed position. You can therefore choose the configuration that matches the scene you have in mind (a parked machine versus a flying one).
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier interceptor with variable wing geometry. The pair of large exhaust nozzles at the tail is a striking feature; the position of the nozzle petals changes with the engine setting, and a faithful set makes it possible to capture that.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts and separate them from the print supports. They are glued with cyanoacrylate; sand with respiratory protection. Paint the inside of the nozzles in heat-tinted metal shades and pick out the heat staining; a fine wash will bring out the ribbing of the petals.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
