This injection-molded plastic kit from Italeri represents the European Scania R730 V8 Streamline long-haul tractor unit in the special Silver Griffin edition in 1:24 scale. The box contains parts for the cab, the chassis and the engine as well as rubber tires; the model is meant to be assembled, painted and finished with decals carrying the silver griffin motif. It is not a finished model.
The Scania R series with its top-class 730 horsepower V8 is among the most powerful European long-haul tractor units. The Streamline version is distinguished by an aerodynamic cab for comfortable long-distance haulage; the Silver Griffin edition adds an attractive decorated livery.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Spray the body with an airbrush over a filler primer and polish the gloss coat; the chrome, the exhaust and the tanks come alive with metallic shades. Let the paint dry completely before applying the decals, and bring out the chassis and the engine with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
