A separate resin figure in 1:35. The Waffen-SS marking is in this case a statement about the type of uniform, by which you recognize the cut of the clothing and the camouflage pattern you will be painting. The Anorakanzug is a winter suit of anorak cut with a loose blouse and trousers, on which period examples used a reversible treatment, that is one side white and the other with a camouflage pattern. The figure is an add-on to a finished model or for a diorama, not a vehicle kit.
The pose and its place in the line
The marking pose No. 2 means the second variant of the figure within the same line. The individual poses are sold separately and can be combined, so that a scene does not read as repetitive. The particular stance is apparent from the illustration on the packaging.
Wash the casting first in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the remains of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and level the face after the cut with a file and fine sandpaper; sanding resin is best done wet and with your breathing protected. Check the mold parting lines against the light and carefully scrape any flash off with a scalpel. Glue any separate parts, for example the head or the hands, with cyanoacrylate glue and fill the gap.
Painting a winter suit has two sides. The white side is not pure white: build it on a light gray base and use white only as a highlight on the crests of the folds, or the figure will flatten out. Handle the camouflage pattern as a painting job in the order base, larger blotches, fine drawing with a thin brush, and finally a unifying filter. Bring the folds out with a dark wash and light the edges carefully. Paint the skin separately and in calm transitions. At the end bring the surface together with a matte clear coat and dust the lower part of the clothing and the footwear with pigments to match the base of your diorama.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
