3D-Printed Seat, Hawker Hurricane Mk.I, 1:48 (Eduard)

This is NOT an airplane model, but a standalone detail accessory from the Eduard Brassin line. It is a directly 3D-printed resin pilot's seat for models of the British fighter Hawker Hurricane Mk.I in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified seat from the plastic kit. The target kit is Arma Hobby.

What it is for

Direct 3D-printing technology can reproduce the seat's thin-walled shell, its reinforcements and its lightening holes in significantly finer detail than injection-molded plastic can achieve. Once painted, the cockpit therefore looks realistic even with the canopy open.

Usage tips

Wash the seat to remove any print resin residue and separate it from the supports. It is glued with cyanoacrylate (super glue). We recommend a primer and picking out details with a wash; separately supplied harness straps combine well with the seat.
