This is a standalone resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set contains replacement landing gear wheels for a model of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird in 1:48 scale and photo-etched parts to go with them. The wheels are done as weighted, with a slightly flattened tire.
The SR-71 Blackbird was an American two-seat strategic reconnaissance aircraft able to fly at more than three times the speed of sound at great altitudes. Its rugged landing gear with multi-wheel main units belongs to the characteristic features that cast wheels capture more faithfully.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tire and the hub separately and bring the shades out; the photo-etched elements add fineness.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
