M-117 GP bombs (late) with MAU-103 conical fin (1:48) is a resin 3D-printed set of six American aerial bombs of the M-117 type with the late conical MAU-103 tail unit from the maker Reskit. It is an armament accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains six American general purpose aerial bombs of the M-117 type in the late version with the conical MAU-103 tail stabilizing unit, in 1:48 scale. The parts are printed from modeling resin and serve as external stores for builds of American combat aircraft. This is not an aircraft model but a separate armament accessory. Typical carriers were machines such as the F-105, F-111, A-4, F-4, F-5, F-104, F-100, A-1 Skyraider, B-52 and Canberra.
The M-117 was an American general purpose aerial bomb of the 750 pound class, used on a mass scale in the Vietnam War. The late conical MAU-103 tail unit was one of the widespread stabilizing variants of this bomb.
Wash the parts free of residual uncured resin, cut off the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; bombs are usually sprayed with an airbrush in olive and metallic shades.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
