Reskit 1:48 MiG-19 wheels set is a resin replacement for the landing gear wheels for models of this fighter aircraft. It is an accessory for a build, not a model of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit replaces the landing gear wheels on a model of the MiG-19 fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory, that is parts that are fitted in place of the parts supplied in the kit. Wheels are among the details that can be seen from immediate close range on a finished model, so a finer casting with a sharper tread pattern and a cleanly worked hub shows in the result straight away and without a great deal of effort.
The MiG-19 is a Soviet single-seat fighter aircraft with a pair of jet engines and a swept wing, the first Soviet production machine capable of supersonic level flight. It entered service in the middle of the 1950s and served in a whole range of countries that obtained it by delivery or by license production. In Czechoslovakia a license-built version of the fighter variant was made under the designation S-105. The machine was valued for its good rate of climb and its strong gun armament, but it made demands on piloting and on maintenance.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent to remove the remains of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the seating surface; protect your airways while sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is super glue. The disc and the tire have a different shade, so it pays to paint them separately or to help yourself out with masking at the boundary. Fit the wheels to the model right at the very end, once the covering coat has dried, so that they are not damaged while the fuselage is handled.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
