Peil G V - 3D-printed direction finder loop 1:48 is a fine aftermarket replica of the German radio direction finder for detailed work on Luftwaffe models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The set contains a 3D-printed replica of the German Peil G V radio compass direction finder (Peilgeraet) in 1:48 scale. The part replaces the simplified or missing rendition of this instrument on plastic kits and adds fine, scale-accurate detail to the model.
The Peilgeraet was a radio direction finder that let the crews of German aircraft navigate by ground transmitters. It consisted of a characteristic circular loop antenna, often housed in a fairing on the spine of the fuselage. A faithfully rendered part is a conspicuous feature in the silhouette of many Luftwaffe bombers and multi-purpose machines.
Separate the fine part from the print supports carefully and clean up the surfaces by sanding. We recommend bonding with super glue. Prime and paint the part before fitting it to the model; the delicate antenna is best glued on at the very end of the build so that it does not get damaged.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
