The right-hand counterpart to the T700 engine set with an open nacelle cowling. It adds a mirrored powerplant to a 1:48 scale model of the H-60 family.
Responsibility details are not available.
Helicopters of the H-60 family carry a pair of engines symmetrically on either side of the main gearbox casing, except that the symmetry is only apparent. The air intakes, the routing of the piping and the mounts for the accessory units differ enough on the two sides that a single casting cannot serve for both, which is why the manufacturer offers the left and right sets separately. This one is intended for the right side and suits all the versions listed in the name, that is the naval, rescue and army machines.
The engine bay is where the limit of flat techniques shows most clearly. A printed film can manage an instrument placard and etched sheet can manage a grille, but neither of them can make a piece of machinery you can walk around. Here real mass with its own edges and undercuts goes into the model, so the light falling into the nacelle creates the shadows by itself, without the builder having to paint them. The difference is seen best on a finished diorama with a mechanic figure.
First check the seating dry, and only then reach for the glue. Super glue holds resin on plastic reliably, while epoxy gives you longer to correct the position. Paint the inner surfaces before you close the assembly up and pick them out with a light dark wash that pulls out the panel seams. An open cowling will also call for a few extra wire runs if you want the engine bay to be genuinely finished. The kit is not supplied.
