A printed sheet of markings for finishing a model of the British helicopter in its HC.2 version. It is used on a model that has already been built and varnished; the package does not contain construction parts.
The Wessex grew out of the licensed production of the American S-58 at the British firm Westland, which replaced the original piston engine with a turbine. The HC.2 variant was intended for the Royal Air Force and was powered by a pair of coupled Gnome turboshaft engines, which gave it a power reserve over the single-engined versions. It served as a transport and rescue machine, carried troops and cargo and flew among other places in Cyprus, Hong Kong and above all in Northern Ireland. It stayed in service for an exceptionally long time and became one of the best known British helicopters of the postwar era.
The markings belong on a smooth gloss surface, otherwise a matte shadow stays under them. Cut them out tight to the edge, dip them in water for only a moment and let them rest on paper. On uneven places use a decal softening solution, and once dry coat the whole model with a matte or satin varnish.
