Flyhawk 1:350 photo-etched set for the battleship Yamato is a super detail set of photo-etched parts for refining a model of the Japanese battleship in 1:350 scale and making it more plausible. The set is intended for the Tamiya 78030/78014 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a model of a ship. The set from the maker Flyhawk holds photo-etched metal parts intended to replace and supplement the simplified plastic sections of a model of the Japanese battleship Yamato in 1:350 scale. The photo-etched parts markedly raise the level of detail and the fineness of the railings, the ladders and the superstructure. The set is intended for the Tamiya 78030/78014 kit.
The Yamato was the flagship of the Imperial Japanese Navy and together with her sister Musashi she was among the largest battleships that ever put to sea. She became famous for her massive armor protection and for a main battery of 460 mm caliber. She was sunk in 1945 on a voyage to Okinawa.
Separate the photo-etched parts on a hard surface with a sharp knife and make the bends over a bender or a metal ruler. For gluing, use super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a special glue for photo-etch. Before painting, degrease the parts and apply a base for adhesion. Glue the railings and the ladders on only at the end of the build, so that they do not get damaged.
The set does not hold the model of the ship, paints or glue. It serves as an accessory to a kit.
