A color photo-etched instrument panel for the cockpit of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. It is not an aircraft model but a finished, pre-printed and painted cockpit accessory. This version is color matched to the interior green of machines built by Mitsubishi, hence the designation Mitsubishi Green.

The real subject

The A6M2 (Model 21) was the most widespread early version of the legendary Zero fighter. It was powered by a Nakajima Sakae 12 radial engine of around 940 horsepower, and the machine was marked by exceptional agility and long range, to which the folding wingtips also contributed. The Zero dominated the early part of the war in the Pacific. The aircraft were built in parallel by Mitsubishi and under license by Nakajima, and their cockpits differed in the shade of interior green.
