A resin set of main wheels for models of the Bristol Beaufighter Mk.I/VI in 1:72 scale with the early type of hub and a block tread pattern, with a weighted tire effect.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a resin replacement set of main wheels intended to improve models of the twin-engine Bristol Beaufighter Mk.I/VI in 1:72 scale. The castings have a sharply drawn early type of hub with pressings, a faithful block tread pattern and a subtle bulge at the contact patch with the ground, which imitates the load under the weight of the aircraft.
You replace the wheels from the box kit with more accurate resin parts with markedly finer detail. The block tread was used at airfields with unpaved and rough surfaces, that is above all in India and in the Pacific, so the set places a model in a particular theater nicely. The weighted effect gives a parked aircraft a realistic sense of weight.
First wash the parts free of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean them up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection when sanding resin and ventilate well. It is recommended to even the shade out with a primer and only then to spray the color of the tire and the hub with an airbrush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
