An add-on set for the model of the Australian CAC Boomerang fighter in 1:72 scale, intended for Special Hobby kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boomerang was an Australian fighter from the time when Australia, after Japan entered the war, had to manage without deliveries from overseas. It was therefore created quickly and out of what was at hand: it is based on the design of a home-built trainer and it is powered by a radial engine. The result was a stubby, short aircraft that did not excel in speed, but in the battle for New Guinea it did its job, mainly in support of ground troops.
The set sharpens the model of the Boomerang in 1:72 scale and is intended for kits from Special Hobby. It replaces and supplements parts where plastic is by its nature coarser than the scale would call for. Which parts the set contains and in what order they are fitted is given in the manufacturer instructions; follow them when deciding what to cut away from the kit as well.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so bond them with super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down. Make changes to the plastic parts step by step and keep test-fitting dry, because material can always be taken off but never put back. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, or not even the primer will hold. If the set goes into the internal spaces of the model, paint them before you glue the fuselage together.
The add-on set alone is supplied. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
