A resin detail set, not an aircraft model. It represents the FN Herstal underwing gun pod with a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 40 mm grenade launcher, as carried under the wings of the Pilatus PC-9 light attack and training aircraft in its armed configuration.
The Pilatus PC-9 is a Swiss turboprop trainer which in its armed versions also serves for light combat support and for training attacks on ground targets. The Belgian arms maker FN Herstal supplies underwing gun pods combining a machine gun and a grenade launcher for exactly these purposes.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut them from the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray a primer and a shade matching the pylon, pick out the metal parts and the barrel separately, and a light wash will deepen the detail.
The set contains only the resin parts of the pod. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
