A set of flare dispensers in 1:72 scale for models of the Mil Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mil Mi-8 and its newer variant the Mi-17 are among the most widespread twin-engine multi-purpose helicopters in the world. They carry troops and cargo, and in their armed versions they also support ground units. That is exactly why flare dispensers are fitted to them: they fire flares that draw infrared-guided missiles away from the machine.
A set of flare dispensers in 1:72 scale for Mi-8 and Mi-17 models. It adds equipment that kits often leave out and that is clearly visible on the sides of the fuselage and on the tail boom. Small parts of this kind tend to be simplified in plastic or missing altogether, so this is an addition that shows on a finished model at once. The range of parts and where each belongs is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene, ordinary plastic cement does not act on them and they are bonded with super glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder flat. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry. The particular preparation sequence is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The placement of the dispensers differs from machine to machine according to the operator and the period of service, so compare the position against photographs of the particular helicopter you are building and mark the points dry first.
The package holds only the parts of this set. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
